On December 1st, South Lane Mental Health celebrated Giving Tuesday with our first ever virtual fundraiser.

Día de los Muertos es una celebración de vida, muerte, multiculturalismo y cambio. El día festivo tiene sus raíces en culturas centroamericanas indígenas que llevan más de 3,000 años. Hoy en día, se observa en entre el 1 y 2 de noviembre cada año. En honor de este día, el personal de South Lane Mental Health tomó una pausa para recordar las vidas de nuestros héroes de justicia social, trabajadores de servicios de emergencia y los que hemos perdido como resultado de la pandemia. Nosotros invitamos a la comunidad a tomar un momento para aprender y reflejar. El altar de este año estuvo ubicado en el edificio del Rural Organizing Project, 632 E. Main Street, en Cottage Grove del 30 de octubre hasta el 6 de noviembre. Agradecemos a Lane Arts Council y Rural Organizing Project por apoyar este evento.
Dia de los Muertos is a rich and complex celebration of life, death, multiculturalism and change. While the celebration has its roots in indigenous Central American cultures dating back to more than 3,000 years ago, it is now commonly observed on November 1st and 2nd each year. In observance of this day, South Lane Mental Health paused to reflect and remember the lives of social justice heroes, first responders and those we have lost to the pandemic. This was a time for gratitude and reverence. We invited the community to take a moment to learn and reflect at the alter that was on display from Friday, October 30 through Friday, November 6 in the window of the Rural Organizing Project on 632 E. Main Street in Cottage Grove. South Lane Mental Health thanks the Lane Arts Council and the Rural Organizing Project for partnering with us for this event.
