South Lane Mental Health plays an integral role in the community’s healthcare continuum and social services network. We take our role as a good community partner seriously and work collaboratively wherever possible. We have been involved in a number of projects with the City of Cottage Grove, Cottage Grove Police Department, Cottage Grove Community Medical Center, South Lane Medical Group, and with a variety of local businesses and churches.
Since 1993, South Lane Mental Health has assisted individuals experiencing psychiatric emergencies at Cottage Grove Hospital. An agency counselor evaluates the situation and provides crisis care. Over the years, South Lane Mental Health has diverted hundreds of patients from psychiatric hospitalizations to outpatient treatment in the community.
Cottage Grove’s First Presbyterian Church has been a key community partner since the inception of South Lane Mental Health. It was a church member that donated to us our first building, the Bohemia Residential Center (BRC). The church also leases the apartments behind the BRC to South Lane Mental Health at no charge. In addition, a church member sits on the agency’s board of directors.

Additional partners whom we value so much include: The City of Cottage Grove, The Cottage Grove Police Department, PeaceHealth Cottage Grove Community Medical Center’s Emergency Department, Food for Lane County, Centro Latino Americano, Community Sharing, Cottage Grove Safe Haven, Great Days Early Education Center, Head Start, South Lane Family Relief Nursery, and South Lane School District.
Working together helps us all thrive. Thank you!
