South Lane Mental Health treats a range of mental health and emotional issues including depression and other mood disorders such as post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD), trauma, abuse, and anxiety disorders in individuals, families and children. We are committed to promoting emotional, behavioral and psychological growth so that clients can better address their mental health concerns.
Counselors use a variety of therapeutic techniques in individual and family settings. Counselors offer trauma informed therapy, cognitive therapy, EMDR, biofeedback, group therapy, and other approaches to recovery.
Several South Lane Mental Health counselors are specially trained to work with children and their families, coordinating with a number of community organizations including Head Start, South Lane Family Relief Nursery, Great Days Early Education Center, and South Lane School District to provide services as needed on-site.
Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)
In 2019 South Lane Mental Health added additional supports to our ACT team under the direction of the Oregon Supported Employment Center for Excellence (O.S.E.C.E.). By incorporating an Individual Placement and Support model into an individual’s treatment plan, we not only work with our client’s mental health but we also work to provide a path to recovery through employment. Our Employment Specialist works with individuals to find competitive employment focusing on their personal strengths and motivation to work.
“My Employment Specialist helped me find a job and is helping me keep it. She is very resourceful, from helping type out a resume to getting bus passes to get to work. By working and keeping my job it is keeping me stable.” C.J. –Current Client
