The Bohemia Residential Center (BRC)

Our original building, the Bohemia Residential Center (BRC) is in need of new siding. Thanks to the Cottage Grove Presbyterian Church who donated this building, we were able to begin serving Cottage Grove Community members that needed mental health assistance in 1988. This residential mental health facility now houses our clients with severe and persistent mental illness.

Due to the COVID pandemic we have had to make significant financial outlays to continue to assist the community via Telehealth (new phone system, computers, webcams, etc.). We are also continuing to purchase Personal Protective Equipment (masks, hand sanitizer, etc.) so that we can keep assisting our most vulnerable clients in person that cannot be seen via Telehealth.

For these reasons, our typical expenses have been anything but typical this year; necessitating that we ask more individuals and organizations for funding for items that we can normally budget for, such as this repair.

Siding repairs may not seem like a flashy, exciting or even compelling thing to donate money for, but with your help, we can continue to house our most vulnerable clients in a safely repaired building.  Think of it this way:  Prior to the pandemic, 1 out of 5 adults suffered from a mental health issue.  Since the onset of COVID those numbers have dramatically risen and requests for mental health assistance are at an all time high.  You can be part of the solution by donating what you can for this worthy cause.

Thank you in advance for your support of the only mental health agency in South Lane County that never turns anyone away for inability to pay for our services.
